22 people responded to the Holder Community Survey.  

Analysis: 

In a question about 'local concerns', the most prevalent response was about the local shops, followed by equal second place to safety and planning and development. 

  • The things people unquestionably love about Holder: 
    • Open spaces and parkland (15/22) 
    • Neighbours and community (10/22) 
    • Location within the ACT (16/22) 
  • The things people unquestionably dislike about Holder: 
    • Sporting and recreation facilities (5/22) 
    • Other aspects people dislike in Holder:
      • Maintenance
      • Noise
      • Footpaths
      • Tennis Court disrepair
      • Mulley and Streeton intersection
      • Lack of cafes
  • The issues that divide the community: 
    • Local shops (8 v 9/22) 
    • Alternative transport options (4 v 5/22) 
    • Drive easily (5 v 3/22) 
    • Safety (2 v 6/22) 
    • Planning and development (2 v 6/22) 
  • Other suggestions and comments:
    • Run down tennis courts should become a different facility
    • Playground upgrades are needed
    • Improved street lighting
    • Remove dangerous gum trees
    • Public housing and yard upkeep
    • Bike/scooter riders without helmets
    • Air quality
    • Library in Weston Creek
    • Shops in Molonglo Valley
    • Look after the trees that are planted
    • More native plants welcomed
    • More parking facilities
    • Better roads for the elderly
    • Mow grass more regularly
    • Bus to Belconnen from Cooleman Court

Holder is a great place in which to live and to be able to call home. It's got a lot going for it!
