This year, the ACT Government is starting to ban single use plastics from the 1st of July.

I hosted a tour on Tuesday 15 June for interested community members at the ACT's Hume Recycling facility. It was a really engaging and informative session led by facilitators at the Materials Recovery Facility. 

We viewed the workings of the facility, experienced working on the sorting line via a virtual reality experience, interacted with a hands-on recycling exhibition, learnt what products recycled materials can make, and discussed all things recycling!
